A LITTLE ABOUT US, THE RANCH & OUR HORSES!!
Hi, I'm (click here) Carol and I will be your hostess as you tour our ranch web site. Mike (my husband) and I proudly own and operate the Quarter Moon Ranch, LLC. We are located in the beautiful green state of Oregon, in the great Northwest area of the USA. Our little ranch is nestled in a green hilly area with beautiful views all around us. It rains a lot here, but we don't mind.....it keeps it green. Because it rains a lot, we have an indoor arena so we're able to ride the year around. We are located between Portland and Salem, in the Canby, Oregon City area. Not far from anything.
We love all horses but we promote AQHA, APHA, & PtHA horses. Our AQHA stallion has passed on to the greener pastures due to some leg injuries. We were breeding our mare to outside paint stallions. We have 5 AQHA horses and 1 grey/palomino/overo 4 year old APHA. Our lovely AQHA "Skip N Nice" broodmare who gave us a beautiful liver chestnut BS, and a beautiful grey/palomino/overo filly. We have a retired "from polo" horse, called "Clydeman". He's an AQHA gelding that I use out on the trails. He and I received some wonderful awards from AQHA "Riding America Program" for putting a LOT of hours on the trails, in our arena and here at home in Oregon, and in Utah and Washington..........we did a lot of HOURS! He's so well broke anyone can ride him. We also have a buckskin 7 year old gelding by the well known NW stallion Buckaroo Bueno Chex. He is Mike's trail horse, and we have a beautiful palomino AQHA gelding. He has retired from roping and will be my backup trail horse, and last but not least our bay roan gelding, 8 years old, ranch and rodeo raised, well broke, beautiful and very big (16 hands, 1400 lbs), he'll also be one of our awesome trail horses. as you go through our web site!! We get many breeds of quality broodmares, broke geldings, mares, and foals available from everywhere. If you see anything of interest please let us know, or if you're looking for something specific maybe we can help you find what it is.
